Bucky

After a few weeks together, Cap and me…it was like we’d been brothers-in-arms for years.

Bucky:

现在?

Now?

Steve:

Not yet, pal. We need to make sure we catch him in the act.

Baron:

Are all those guns really necessary?

Brandts:

Baron.

It depends on what you have for me, Baron.

Baron:

Oh, don’t worry…I’ve got the files…

Steve(to Bucky):

Get ready…Now.

Bucky

And I swear, it was like all of it…The mask and the uniform, the secret missions…This was what I’d been born to do. Not that it was all a bed of roses, mind you…

Thus, our Sentinel of Liberty and his faithful sidekick swoop in and --

Bucky:

Faithful sidekick? What am I? Rin Tin Tin?

Bucky:

Gee, Cap! You sure are a great role role model for all us kids!

Bucky!

I just do what all Americans should, Bucky!

Bucky

Bucky:

Creesus! Who writes this stuff?

Hey, buddy, keep it down.

Bucky:

Can you believe that guy? You’d think we were in church or somethin’.

Steve:

Buck.

Well, people do go to the movies to hear the movie, Buck.

Bucky:

And don’t get me strated on that newsreel!

Steve:

I wouldn’t dream of it, pal.

Bucky:

Those costumes…and the actors? Where did they find those guys?

Steve:

Yeah…It’s sure a good thing no one got you started…

Bucky:

And how about puttin’ a dame or two in there? Unless they can’t find any who can act badly enough…

Bucky:

Steve.

I don’t know how you do it, Steve.

Steve:

Do what?

Bucky:

Stay so cool while we’re stuck here, instead of takin’ on the Nazi’s on the battlefield, where we belong.

Steve:

We’re doing a lot of good here, Bucky. And it’s where they need us for now.

Bucky:

Maybe…but when are we gonna get in this damn war already?

Steve:

Listen…don’t be in such a hurry. Real battle isn’t like your training.

Bucky:

What’s that supposed to mean?

Steve:

It means war s killing other soldiers, other people just like us.

Bucky:

I know that. I’ve seen plenty of death.

Steve:

That’s different, Bucky. Taking a life can be simple…But living with what you’ve done. That’s not so simple.

Bucky

And off we were…on another top secret super-soldier mission.

Bucky:

If he’s a confidential informant, how are we gonna know who to look for?

Steve:

They said he works the ring toss, which should be around here somewhere. Here he is. Stay here for a minute. I don’t wanna spook him.

Bucky:

Now, that should be illegal!

Rachel &Donna:

What should?

Bucky:

You two gorgeous girls out here all by yourselves. But I can fix that…Private James Barnes, at your serve.

Rachel:

I’m Rachel and this is Donna. Think you can handle the both of us, soldier boy?

Steve:

Okay, Bucky, he told me --

Bucky:

This is Rachel and Donna. Gals, Corporal Steve Rogers.

Steve:

Oh, hello, ladies.

Steve:

What, exactly, are you doing here?

Bucky:

Oh, c’mon…It’s a perfect cover. We snoop around while it looks like we’re on a double date.

Rachel:

What are you boys conspiring about over there?

Donna:

Y’know, my grandmother always said,” Whisperers go to hell.”

Bucky(to Steve):

She sounds like a real nice lady.

Steve(to Rachel and Donna):

We were just saying how lucky it is we bumped into two absolute knockouts.

Bucky:

Yeah. Can a couple G.I. 's buy you gals some cotton candy?

Donna:

I never turn down sweets from a soldier.

Bucky:

What did Mr. Ring Toss have to say?

Steve:

Apparently the Brandt Brothers, the trapeze family, have been getting some strange shipments. Big, heave crates delivered right to their tent.

Bucky:

So? Can’t Germans buy stuff anymore?

Steve:

Not when they’ve been watched by the FBI since they emigrated. Time for some recon.

Steve(to Rachel & Donna):

If you’ll excuse us, we need to find the little soldiers’ room. But why don’t you get us all tickets for the ferris wheel and we’ll meet you in line?

Bucky:

“Little soldiers’ room?”

Steve:

It worked, didn’t it? C’mon, this way.

Bucky:

So why are these Bouncing Brandts or whatever worth our attention?

Steve:

Because their father developed nerve gases in the last war, and he’s friends with Hitler.

Steve:

This is the one. Is the coast clear?

Bucky:

Yeah, you’re good.

Steve:

Keep a lookout.

Bucky:

Sure. I’ll whistle nine times if anyone shows.

Steve

Bucky:

Lions? I don’t get it.

Steve:

Neither do I…

Bucky

We figured our cover was blown. But by the time we got back, in our real uniforms…we were sure if it.

Bucky:

Cap, do you see that? Where’d everybody go?

Steve:

This isn’t good.

Bucky

I was a cocky kid when I leapt onto that train. Thinkin’ I was way more of a man than I really was, like all teenagers do.

Steve:

Those statues were made of toxic chemicals. They were going to gas that whole station as they went through. You saved a lot of innocent people last night. You know that, right? Bucky?

Bucky:

I’m fine, Steve. Really. It had to be done…So I did it. Simple as that.

Steve:

Yes. Yes, it did.

Bucky:

Is that mail? Anything for me?

Steve:

Yes, looks like your sister wrote again.

Steve:

How’s she doing at school?

Bucky:

Great. She’s doing great…

Steve:

You should write her back.

Bucky:

Yeah…maybe tomorrow.

Bucky

But tomorrow seemed like a million miles from where I was. I was just thinking over and over about what Steve had said…About killing a man and what the hardest part was…and I was hopin’ like hell he’s been lyin’.
